Quicksilver Senator 5.3m 18 cuddy cabin fishing\ski\family boat

I was looking for a strong but light weight boat that was suitable for towing up north and down south (with capacity to carry the camping gear etc on the boat\trailer). The boat had to double as a good fishing\performance ski boat with good visibility and sun protection that also could get us back from Rotto safe and dry in a howling sea breeze.

The Quicksilver 18 with the 115 Mercury is fast (~40 knots), light weight (< 600kg with motor compared to most other similar boats at 1 ton this allows us 400kg for other gear on the trailer), a good fishing\work area (for cray pots and skies\tubes) with a walk through transom, detachable ski pole or fish board.

I was surprised just how well the new shaped hulls worked at high speed and in the swell and how light and strong the boat is compared to aluminium. There is also plenty of bow, stern and under floor storage

The package we put together included all the safety gear, full clears, skies, knee board, tubes, combined colour GPS\fish finder etc etc. This covers all uses with the family on the river and at Rotto and mates for the annual fishing trip.

We have owned the boat now for 6 months and have already put in a number of ski\tubing weekends and family and friends and Rotto trips over summer and winter and I could not be happier.
